I have a problem

File:COS 09.JPG

There's nothing more discombobulating than thinking you are off from work and having to find out you are supposed to be slaving away with the rest.

There I was lying on my generic Tempur-pedic bed, dreaming away, when a phone call brought me back to reality, straight to the shower and out the door in five minutes or less as I found out I was scheduled to work. Has this ever happened to you? Of course not! I am one of the few people who have possibly done this, oh, maybe five or six times in the fifteen years I have been working. As DH can attest, I tend to glaze over important details like work schedule and focus more on other specifics I consider important like the fact that Janet Jackson's attire for her brother's funeral somewhat resembled Jackie Kennedy's ensemble the day President Kennedy was shot.

Yes, I am a smut addict. Not the pornographic stuff. I am talking about salacious gossips of the movie stars, the A-listers to the Z-listers. I believe laineygossip.com coined that phrase calling people like me, smuthounds. I am not content looking at gossip rags in the supermarket checkout counter. No, sir. Those things are for people who like to see pictures and believe what the publicists say about their famous clients. I'm talking about getting down to digging dirt and finding out what is going on before it reaches newsstands, before it is thoroughly sanitized for the taste of the majority. The two sites I don't mind wasting my time is laineygossip.com and perezhilton.com. I'm sure a lot of people have heard of Perez. His site is always interesting, loaded with photos, sometimes with crude drawings over them for whatever purpose it serves. The blogger does not mince words and never seem to sit on the fence. He either despises the celebrity or loves him/her. On the other hand, Lainey's site always has a zing to her articles. I've oftentimes catch myself chuckling at some witty comment she says about a "celebutard" or christening somebody as "Ebola" and referring to that well known personality as "it" instead of "she." I think she also coined the terms "Brangelunatics" and "Twi-hards/ Twi-freaks." Like Perez, she does not sit on the fence and brings on the full on hate on parents living their dreams through the bright stars of their kids with often dire consequences.

This, my dear readers, is my escape. Some people like to read books, I like to read gossip blogs. Unfortunately, both did not address the Janet Jackson wardrobe issue or why La Toya was wearing that big black hat.
